Our Junior Partner, Ioannis Stathakis, was part of Panel III: “Data Protection & Privacy”, where he presented on legal considerations regarding the legality of secondary use of clinical trial data. In his presentation, he explored the evolving challenges surrounding the use of clinical trial data as new AI models and synthetic databases keep gaining popularity in the clinical context and he also emphasized that respecting privacy limitations is key to maintain lawfulness in the process and transparency towards patients.
