Giorgos Giarmas is a Data Privacy Professional with experience in GDPR compliance, data governance, privacy operations and regulatory implementation. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, has completed Advanced Training as a Data Protection Officer at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), and is currently pursuing an MSc in Electronic Governance at the University of the Aegean.

At ALG Manousakis Law Firm, Giorgos supports the firm’s data protection and compliance practice, providing privacy and regulatory support across a range of client engagements. His work includes conducting data-mapping interviews, developing and maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs), handling Data Subject Requests (DSRs), supporting privacy operations and compliance workflows, and developing and delivering privacy training materials. He also conducts legal and regulatory research, including in relation to GDPR and NIS2 requirements, and works with privacy management platforms.

Giorgos combines legal and regulatory understanding with analytical and technological expertise, enabling him to approach privacy and compliance matters from both a legal and operational perspective. His professional development includes certifications and training in data protection, AI and data analysis, project management, risk-based privacy, and human resources, including professional credentials from HRCI and SHRM.

His academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of data protection, technology, digital governance and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on the practical implementation of privacy frameworks and the evolving challenges arising from digital transformation.

Giorgos is a native Greek speaker and is fluent in English (C2), with working knowledge of French (B1).
