Melina Koumpou is a Greek-qualified lawyer and a member of the Athens Bar Association. She holds a Law degree from the Democritus University of Thrace and a Master’s in Human Rights Law from the University of Strasbourg. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Law and Information & Communication Technologies at the University of Piraeus, with a focus on data protection and artificial intelligence.
Melina has experience in legal research, advocacy, and compliance with a background on data protection law, digital law, and human rights. She has worked with international and European partners on legal projects and policy developments, and as a Trainee Lawyer in the Legal Council of the State, Ministry of Finance.
At ALG, Melina provides legal advice on privacy and data protection matters, supporting pharmaceutical clients in Europe and Switzerland with compliance strategies, contractual assessments and cross-border data transfers.
