ALG Manousakis Law Firm participated in an online workshop held in collaboration with René Descartes College, presented to the College’s students and alumni, in the context of the Kapa3 and SimasiaAI initiative for the development of “Myrto AI: A Digital Health and Rights Navigator for Cancer Patients.”
Anastasia Vlachopoulou, Associate, represented ALG Manousakis Law Firm in a discussion on the development of Myrto AI, an innovative AI-powered digital assistant designed to support and empower cancer patients by providing accessible guidance throughout their healthcare journey and helping them navigate health, social care and patient-rights related information.
The presentation focused on the responsible use of digital tools and AI assistants, with particular emphasis on personal data protection, GDPR compliance, AI transparency and the importance of clear, patient-friendly legal documentation. The discussion also addressed the particular challenges arising when digital health tools are used by patients, caregivers or healthcare professionals, especially in contexts involving vulnerable groups.
Projects such as “Myrto AI” demonstrate how collaboration between healthcare, law and technology can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Initiatives like this help improve access to reliable information, strengthen patient empowerment and support people as they navigate complex healthcare journeys.
